Brazil Round 7 will have emphasis on areas with high potential for natural gas, due the growth of the country demand, and onshore areas, that contain small size discoveries that have been returned to ANP.

For Brazil Round 7, 34 sectors in 14 sedimentary basins are being offered: Pelotas, Santos, Campos, Espírito Santo, Jequitinhonha, Camamu-Almada, Recôncavo, Sergipe-Alagoas, Potiguar, Barreirinhas, Pará-Maranhão, Foz do Amazonas, Solimões and São Francisco.

Besides that, marginal fields with small discoveries, in 4 basins – Recôncavo, Tucano Sul, Camamu and Sergipe-Alagoas are also on offer. In this way, ANP also defined a focus for small companies to take part in Brazil
Round 7.

Brazil Round 7 areas include blocks already offered in Brazil Round 6 (blocks that have not been taken), new sectors, and the discoveries above mentioned.

It will follow the previous Rounds model, including mature onshore basins, high potential areas and frontier basins (both onshore and offshore), allowing different types and sizes of organizations to bid, Brazilian and international ones.
