Brazil’s Gol Gets Prize for LatAm’s Best and Most Innovative Airline

In a survey of the best Latin American companies Brazilian airline Gol received three awards from LatinFinance magazine. It was the most awarded in the survey, which had 12 categories.

Gol was chosen the best among medium size companies – with revenues between US$ 500 million and US$ 5 billion – and, among these, the one adopting the most innovative financial strategy.

Constantino de Oliveira Junior, Gol’s president, was elected best executive among those leading companies in this category.  In the award’s third annual edition, LatinFinance heard 25 industry experts – investment bank directors, equity research analysts, portfolio managers and rating agency professionals.

The experts paid compliments to the issuance of US$ 200 million of perpetual bonds in April, to finance the acquisition of aircraft.

"This recognition stimulates us to continue investing in popularizing high quality, low price air transportation throughout South America," declares Constantino de Oliveira Junior.

With almost 30,000 monthly copies, Latin Finance circulates in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Gol currently offers over 500 daily flights to 50 airports in Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. Gol growth plans include increasing frequencies in existing markets and adding service to additional markets in both Brazil and other high-traffic South American travel destinations. Gol shares are listed on the NYSE and the Bovespa.
