British Minister in Brazil. WTO Main Theme in the Agenda.

Ian Pearson, British Minister of Trade, Industry, and Investment, arrives in Brazil today to discuss matters related to the negotiations at the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Pearson, who also holds the post of Minister of Foreign Relations of the United Kingdom, will spend four days visiting Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Brazilian capital Brasí­lia.

The British Minister will be received in Rio today by the president of Petrobras – Brazilian Petroleum, S.A. -, José Sérgio Gabrielle de Azevedo, after which he will meet with the state secretary of Energy, Shipbuilding, and Petroleum, Wagner Victer.

In the two days to come, Pearson will be received in Brasí­lia by the ministers of Health, Saraiva Felipe; Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply, Roberto Rodrigues; Foreign Relations, Celso Amorim; and Development, Industry, and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan.
