Brazilian exports have already exceeded US$ 100 billion this year. Up to the second week of November, shipments generated US$ 101.28 billion, growth of 22.1% in comparison to the same period in 2004.
Imports, in turn, totaled US$ 63.102 billion, an increase of 17.7% in comparison to that registered between January and November last year.
In the year, the trade balance is presenting a positive result of US$ 38.178 billion for Brazil. The information was supplied by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
Last week alone, exports generated US$ 2.615 billion, and imports, US$ 1.676 billion, resulting in a surplus of US$ 939 million.
In the month, shipment reached US$ 4.657 billion, foreign purchases reached US$ 2.829 billion, and the trade balance surplus, US$ 1.828 billion.
There has been an increase in exports of all three product categories: basic (76.9%), manufactured products (34.3%) and semi-manufactured products (8.4%).
