What The Color Of Your BV Discharge Means

Throughout the month our body and our vagina are going through a loop of changes. This chain repeats itself every month which is why every month us women are likely to go through the same phases again and again. During these phases, one thing that remains common is the discharge that comes out of our vaginas and to understand and know what color is bv discharge. There are times when we don’t feel like there is any discharge which is very normal and nothing to worry about, In fact, it feels better than thinking you have something in your underpants or having to worry about your periods beginning every time you feel any sort of discharge.

Keeping A Check On The Discharge
At times different types of discharges are coming out of our vagina and the texture and color of the discharge mean something. This is why it needs to be monitored and you should keep a check on the color of your discharge as it can also help you keep a track of your cycle.

What Does Each Color Say
the color of the discharge may vary and this varying color of the discharge says a lot about your vagina and if you need to visit the doctor or not.

1) White Discharge, starting with the normal color of the discharge which is white or milky discharge. Most women can see white discharge coming from their vagina very frequently but that is nothing to worry about giving out white discharge if your vaginas way of showing that it is healthy and is functioning properly.
White discharge is also released during sex; through this, the vagina lubricates itself and ensures smooth sexual intercourse takes place.

2) Yellow Discharge, it may seem like yellow discharge isn’t normal and women may end up worrying about it but that is not the case. Yellow discharge is as normal as white discharge and is very common. It doesn’t indicate any sort of infection or issue with your vagina. This color is a result of your eating habits it is very common to get a yellow discharge if you have started taking any supplements.

3) Brown Discharge, any shade of red or brown discharge is very common during and after your periods. The color of the discharge may vary from time to time but this is something completely normal and happens to every woman at the end of their mensuration cycle.

4) Pink Discharge, just like pink discharge is very common and is a sign of your periods ending pink discharge is a sign of the beginning of your menstrual circle. Hence pink discharge isn’t something that women should worry about and most women also experience pink discharge after they have had sex with someone. However, you need to keep in mind that in some cases pink discharge means other serious health problems need your attention.

5) Grey Discharge, if the color of your discharge becomes grey the situation is alarming, grey discharge means there is an infection in your vagina, and it’s high time to visit a doctor. Along with grey discharge, you will notice other symptoms such as itching, pain, or discomfort while urinating which are also signs of infection and you should immediately start treatment for the infection.

Keeping A Check On Your Vagina
Although all the different types and colors or vaginal discharge are very common and most of them are a sign of the vagina functioning properly. Women should keep a check on their discharge and if they feel that there is something unusual going on they should seek help from a doctor.
