Embraer 190 Declared Air Worthy by Brazil

Embraer, Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, received the certification from the Aerospace Technical Center (CTA), of the Brazilian Air Force, for the Embraer 190, jet with capacity of taking 100 passengers.

This qualifies the airplane to operate commercially within the Brazilian airspace. According to the company, the aeronautical authorities in the United States should do the same soon, which will enable the first deliveries of the model to the North American company JetBlue.

The 190 is the third jet in the Embraer family 170/190 to receive certification from the CTA. Before it came the Embraer 170 and the Embraer 175. According to the company, to obtain the document five airplanes were used and 1,800 hours of tests in flight, as well as 140 tests in laboratory and simulators.
