Brazil’s Eco Prize Has New Category: Sustainable Business Management

Companies interested in competing for the Eco Prize 2005 have until today to register. The competition is open to all businesses, regardless of size.

The prize was created 23 years ago in order to recognize business projects characterized by social responsibility.

This year there is a new category: Sustainable Business Management, which seeks to award institutions that show concern with the impact their activities have on the environment and quality of life.

The social responsibility projects are divided into four different groups: internal public, environment, consumers and clients, and community.

The prize is sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce of São Paulo, a non-profit organization with 5,560 members representing all kinds and sizes of businesses that are active in all parts of the economy.

Information on the competition can be accessed at www.amcham.com.br/premioeco
