Brazil’s Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan, launches tonight, in Paris, the project Aquarela do Brasil (Brazil Watercolor).
Considered the largest Brazilian commercial event in France, the show is being promoted by the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (Apex) at the Galeries Lafayette, large French department store chain.
Promoted Brazilian products include clothing, footwear, accessories, cosmetics, jewelry, arts and crafts, decoration items, in addition to food and beverages.
According to the President of Apex-Brazil, Juan Quirós, the project Aquarela do Brasil will take Brazilian products directly to international consumers, “creating a consumption habit and consolidating a permanent export channel.”
Approximately 100 Brazilian companies will participate in the event, on the 4th floor of the Galeries Lafayette, at the Boulevard Haussmann.
The event, which can be visited until June 25th, is part of the official celebrations of “The Year of Brazil in France.”
Apex, in a partnership with Galeries Lafayette and the Brazilian Embassy in France, invested approximately 400 thousand euros in the project Aquarela do Brasil.
Last year, the agency also organized in São Paulo a 25-day meeting between Galeries Lafayette’s buyers and Brazilian entrepreneurs, when the French chain acquired 1.3 million euros worth of products, informed Juan Quirós.
According to Quirós, through the event, which will be open to the public, Apex-Brazil also expects to sell to tourists of all parts of the world visiting the Lafayette stores.
