Miami’s Broward Center for the Performing Arts announces its two-day Business Forum to be held at Nova Southeastern University on March 10 & 11, 2005 as part of the State to State, Business to Culture, Focus ’05 Brazil program.

The bi-national Business Forum, featuring speakers such as former Ambassador to Brazil, Donna Hrinak, includes a list of luminaries discussing the future of business between Brazil and Florida.

“The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is creating an excellent model through which Florida and Brazil can celebrate our mutual cultural and business interests during this extremely innovative schedule of activities,” commented Ambassador Hrinak.

The Business Forum is just one of many elements that comprise the full State to State program. A series free community enrichment events, a Florida-Brazilian Business Recognition Dinner, and a jazz tribute to Antonio Carlos Jobim presented by Gold Coast Jazz are also slated for the week of March 7-11.

The program culminates with the North American premier of Jobim Sinfônico, featuring the orchestrated works of Brazil’s most famous composer, the late Antonio Carlos Jobim. The recording won a Latin Grammy in the classical division in 2004.

“This program provides an unique opportunity to bring Florida and Brazil closer together on many levels. We see this program as a special benefit that only a cultural organization like the Broward Center can deliver.”
