Aon Affinity Makes Brazil Its Latin American Base

Aon Corporation, a company headquartered in Chicago and specialized in risk management and human capital consulting, has announced the formation of Aon Affinity Latin America to be based in Brazil.

The organization will be headquartered in São Paulo, where Aon has an established presence in the affinity marketplace through Aon Affinity do Brasil.

Aon Affinity Latin America will serve clients throughout South and Central America, with an immediate focus on the growing market for insurance products in Mexico, Argentina and Colombia.

Kevin Garvin, CEO of Aon’s Affinity Insurance Services, Inc., stated: “Our strategy of bringing insurance products to groups of like-minded individuals is one that has worked extremely well in Brazil.

“Through the launch of Aon Affinity Latin America, we aim to bring the same client-centric discipline to serve affinity groups throughout the region.”

Aon Affinity Latin America will be headed by José Carlos Macedo dos Santos, who has been named president of the new enterprise.

Mr. Macedo said: “We plan to replicate the systems and processes that enabled us to build a customer base of more than 3 million in Brazil.  By leveraging the infrastructure and best practices, we will be able to bring client-centric solutions to these new marketplaces.”

Aon Corporation is a provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human capital and management consulting, and specialty insurance underwriting.

The company employs approximately 51,000 professionals in its 600 offices in more than 120 countries.
