"We want to work with somebody with influence in the market," stated the director at the group, Fabiane de Oliveira.
According to her, the New Line files were developed to bring greater safety to personal hygiene. "Traditional files nowadays are not disposable, which is a strong source of fungi and bacteria. Our file is disposable. You may replace the refill and use the same hand piece, avoiding contamination and disease," explained Fabiane.
The differential of the product is the plastic support, which is not disposable, for the file to be connected to. According to Fabiane, the idea worked out so well that the group, headquartered in the city of Jundiaí, in the interior of the southeastern Brazilian state of São Paulo, has expanded sales to the capital and to the states of Rio de Janeiro, also in the Southeast, and Paraná, in the South.
The product started being made in 2004. The process was developed manually by two people. "It was a home-made product," said Fabiane. With the greater demand for the files, the company bought a machine with a capacity for production of over 50,000 units a month and rose to 15 employees responsible for New Line. According to Fabiane, sales to beauty salons are through several distributors.
Currently, around 40% of the company's production is turned to the foreign market and the group's target is to turn 70% to export. To reach this objective in 2008, Fabiane intends to start participating in cosmetics fairs to promote the product.
