Brazil’s Gol Airline Tickets Can Be Paid in Up to 36 Months

Brazilian airline Gol has just announced that it has expanded payment methods for tickets purchased online.  The company informs that it's now offering over a dozen mechanisms for customers to purchase tickets online.

"Offering new payment methods and expanding financing options allows more customers access to air travel.  It is essential that Gol provide payment mechanisms that are appropriate for all income levels," says Wilson Maciel Ramos, Gol's Vice-President of Planning and Information Technology.

Customers purchasing tickets through Gol's website nowadays are able to pay with debit cards or bank transfers.  "Some of our customers have limited funds or do not have a credit card. The Company is committed to providing payment methods for various income levels – from high-income passengers and credit card users to debit card users and customers with lower incomes," explains Ramos.

Additionally, Gol allows customers purchasing tickets with their credit card (American Express, Diners, Hipercard, MasterCard and Visa) to parcel payments up to 12 months. 

Customers using credit cards can pay for tickets up to six months interest free, with a minimum monthly payment of 45 reais (US$ 21), or up to twelve months with interest and a minimum monthly payment of 10 reais (US$ 4.7).

For customers that require longer payment terms, Gol offers the Fly Easy (Voe Fácil) program, which allows customers to pay for airline tickets in up to 36 months.  To date, the program has enrolled approximately 700,000 customers. 

Applications are available on the Portuguese version of Gol's website (www.voegol.com.br), for non-corporate, legal residents living in Brazil.  After credit approval, the purchases with the Gol "Fly Easy" card can be made through the Company's website, using a password.
