Agribusiness in Brazil had US$ 4.3 billion revenues from exports in November. The amount is 17.9% more than the result for the same period last year.
Due to the 44.5% increase in exports, which reached US$ 654 million in November, the surplus for the month was US$ 3.736 billion.
During the last twelve months, agribusiness exports yielded US$ 48.9 billion, 14% more than in the previous twelve months. Despite a 29% growth in imports, which totaled US$ 6.490 billion, the accumulated trade surplus for the period surpassed US$ 42.4 billion.
The data was presented yesterday, December 7, by the Secretariat of International Agribusiness Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.
In November, the sectors that boosted performance the most were sugar and alcohol, which saw a 74.6% increase, coffee (45,9%) and meat (43%).
