Brazilian Government Opens Two Schools in Russia to Teach Soccer

The first of two Brazilian football schools in Russia will start operating as of September, in Krasnodar, in the south of the country.

The project was developed with support from Brazil’s Ministries of Foreign Relations and of Sports, and, on the Russian side, of the National Sports Agency, of the State Duma (Lower House in the Russian Parliament), of the newspaper Novie Izevestia and the Langsdorff Foundation.

The school will offer the children in low-income families opportunities of developing their physical and intellectual abilities.

It will be attended by pupils between 12 and 14 years old, who will receive full secondary education, preparation for college, and will have their sporting and athletic formation oriented by Brazilian professionals of acknowledged competence.
