Brazil to Have Pavillion with 25 Companies at Dubai’s Dental Fair

At least 25 Brazilian companies are going to participate in the 10th edition of the United Arab Emirates International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC) to take place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, between February 28 and March 02.

This will be the first time that Brazil will have a pavilion at the fair, according to Abdul Salam Al Madani, the managing director of Index Conferences & Exhibitions Organization, the event organizers.

Al Madani is in Brazil participating in the 24th International Dentistry Congress in São Paulo, which ended Wednesday, February 1st, at the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion. He is sharing a stand at the fair – in the sidelines of the congress – with Dubai Properties, a company in the real estate area in Dubai.

"We have a partnership with the organizers of the event in São Paulo. For the last five years we have been promoting our fairs at theirs and theirs at ours," stated Al Madani. Up to last year, however, only Brazilian individual company participation had taken place at the conference in the Emirates.

According to the executive, in Dubai companies will be in contact with potential importers from various countries in the region. "There are 98,000 dentists registered in the region and we do not have industries turned to the sector, so all the material has to be imported," he said.

The executive added that Brazilian companies that produce dentistry equipment and material have great possibilities of winning a good share of the market.

"Brazilian industries have good products and competitive prices," he declared. Currently, according to him, the main suppliers in the region are Germany, the United States and Italy.

According to Al Madani, AEEDC should count on 450 exhibitors from 63 countries. "Apart from that, the fair usually brings around 15,000 visiting professionals from 113 nationalities. It is one of the largest fairs in the sector in the region," he pointed out.

Apart from the AEEDC, Index is going to promote a fair of emergency medicine products in April, as well as various other events in the health sector. "There are good opportunities for Brazil to sell ambulances, for example," stated the executive.
