Three Ministers Take Brazilian Message to Davos

Brazilian Foreign Minister, Celso Amorim, is in Davos at the World Economic Forum where Friday, January 27, he led a G-20 meeting on issues in the agricultural sector in 2006.

The G-20 will also be making preparations for a mini-ministerial meeting on the Doha Round trade problems which is scheduled for today.

Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan, is also in Davos to participate in a panel discussion on alternative forms of energy, and the risks and barriers facing the production and sale of biofuels. He will also be meeting with other leaders for talks on trade issues.

Meanwhile, minister of Culture, Gilberto Gil, will meet with the president of the Interamerican Development Bank, Luis Alberto Moreno. He will also participate in a panel discussion of "A World Without Intellectual Property."
