Brazil and China Want More Trade Opportunities Between Both Countries

A debate on the electric energy sector, at São Paulo’s Intercontinental Hotel, marked the opening today of Year 2 of the Brazil-China Business Forum.

Sponsored by the Brazil-China Chamber of Economic Development (CBCDE), the Forum proposes to analyze productive sectors that offer possibilities of expanding trade exchanges and investments between the two countries.

Among the participants are the secretary of Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, and Foreign Trade (MDIC), Ivan Ramalho, and the commercial consul of the Chinese Consulate in São Paulo, Zhang Jisan.

Created in July, 2001, the CBCDE is a privately constituted civil entity aimed at promoting closer ties among Brazilian and Chinese government bodies, associations, and business leaders in order to solidify commercial and cultural relations between the two countries.
